The Hendrix range has truly become a modern cult classic—absolutely divine!
I’ve been a loyal Barefoot Blonde customer for over a decade, and I absolutely adore the quality, design, and ethos behind the brand. That said, I was invited to provide honest feedback on this particular design, so here it is—with love and appreciation.
One thing I’ve noticed with the Hendrix dresses, especially the midis, is that the thin spaghetti straps are supporting quite a weighty fabric. While the dresses are stunning, they’re not particularly bra- or fuller-bust-friendly.
With the Teal Collection specifically, the point where the strap meets the top of the dress its quite a wide round cut - doesn’t feel like the most flattering design choice. Visually, it appears a little like an afterthought—especially when contrasted with the exquisite detailing in the embroidered lace bodice, which clearly reflects so much love and craftsmanship. Interestingly, the Rust, Plum, and other colourways aren’t designed this way—the strap placement in those styles feels much more cohesive and complementary to the overall design balance.
In general, it would be interesting to see how a slightly wider strap might enhance both comfort and visual flow. Perhaps a more structured bust—through a stitched bodice or similar feature—could offer greater shape and support.
I share this feedback as someone who deeply loves and supports Barefoot Blonde. I even started the FB buy & sell group years ago to help promote the brand and encourage fashion reuse and slow fashion within the global community.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts—and for continuing to create such beautiful, size-inclusive, feminine pieces. Much love! xX
