International Shipping FAQ (Customs & Duties)
Where do you ship from?
All Marlo the Label orders are packed and shipped from our warehouse in Chinderah, Northern Rivers (NSW), Australia.
Are your pieces designed in Australia?
Yes, all Marlo the Label pieces are designed in Australia.
Will I have to pay customs duties and import taxes?
For orders shipped to the United States, all duties, tariffs and import taxes are included in our pricing and covered by us. The price you see at checkout is the final price you pay — there will be no additional customs fees required upon delivery.
For other international destinations, customs duties or import taxes may apply depending on your country’s regulations. These charges are determined by your local customs authority and are the responsibility of the customer.
Do USA customers have to pay customs duties?
No. We cover all U.S. duties, tariffs and import taxes, so there are no additional customs charges for U.S. customers when your order arrives.
Your order ships directly from Australia and may pass through U.S. customs as part of the import process, however any applicable duties or tariffs are handled by our team.
When and how do I pay customs fees?
United States: U.S. customers do not need to pay customs duties or tariffs on delivery, as these charges are covered by us.
Other international destinations: If customs duties or import taxes apply, your courier (DHL and/or UPS) may contact you directly with instructions for payment.
Are customs delays included in shipping timeframes?
No. Shipping timeframes do not include time spent in customs.
International orders may experience delays due to customs processing or other factors outside of DHL Express and/or UPS control.
What happens if I don’t pay customs?
For orders shipped to the United States, there are no customs duties or tariffs to pay on delivery.
For other international destinations, if customs duties or import taxes apply and the customer chooses not to pay them, the order may be marked as Return to Sender after a few days and shipped back to our warehouse in Australia.
In this unlikely scenario, a flat rate of $150 AUD will be deducted from the refund amount.
This fee covers part of the associated costs of return shipping, plus any customs and duties charges incurred.
